WARC Africa

About WARC

A social enterprise reshaping the first mile.

From a single farm in Sierra Leone in 2011 to 250+ people across West and East Africa, WARC exists to connect smallholder farmers to global markets — and to lift them out of poverty in the process.

The story so far

From one farm to an integrated first mile

  1. 2011

    One farm in Sierra Leone

WARC begins with a single farm and a simple conviction: fix the first mile and you fix the supply chain.

  2. 2017–19

    Trading Hubs & first capital

The Trading Hub model spreads across Ghana and Sierra Leone; Acumen invests as first institutional backer in 2019.

  3. 2021

    Into East Africa

Operations extend to Uganda; the advisory practice deepens across the continent.

  4. 2024

    $7.5M Series B

A $7.5M Series B led by Kielder Agro backs the next phase — more farmers, more hubs, more impact.

Our mission
